I am a huge hamburger fan. The only trouble with living in the Chicago area in Winter is the cold weather that inevitably appears and makes it virtually impossible grill. I recently started reading the blog “Panini Happy” and stumbled across this post in the archives. I was inspired to make sliders using my George Foreman Grill. I made Sweet Potato Fries as well because what are burgers without fries!

Sliders
serves 4
1 lb Ground Chuck (I use at least 15/85 mix for optimum flavor)
2 T Heinz 57
Hawaiian Rolls
Any condiments you like
Mix together in a bowl the beef and Heinz 57. Seperate beef mixture into 8 equal sized balls. Form balls into patties. Grill until cooked to 160 degrees.
Sweet Potato Fries
serves 4
Adapted from Costco Connection Magazine
2 Sweet Potatoes
2 T Olive Oil
1 T Light Brown Sugar
1/2 t. Pepper
1/2 t. Kosher Salt, plus extra for sprinkling
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Peel Sweet Potatoes. Halve the Sweet Potato lengthwise and slice into 1/4″ thick slices. In a bowl, coat Sweet Potato slices with Olive Oil and then stir in the remaining ingredients. Place on cookie sheet and cook for 15 minutes. Turn fries with a spatula and bake for another 5 to 10 minutes, until lightly browned. Sprinkle with Salt and serve hot.
